This Privacy Policy explains how Metravyx Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you use the Oakwell Edge app.
Who we are (data controller)
Metravyx Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through Oakwell Edge.

Age requirement
Oakwell Edge is intended for users aged 13 and over. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 13. If we become aware that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will delete the account and associated data.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we collect:
- Identity and profile data: actual name, display name, email address, contact number, stand and age group.
- Competition data: predictions, scores, rankings and related match activity.
- Notification data: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens.
- Preference data: prize-contact and marketing opt-in choices, including consent timestamps.
- Security and technical data: authentication and basic service logs needed to operate and secure the app.
How we use your data and lawful bases
We process personal data for the following purposes and lawful bases under UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Account creation, sign-in and app operation (contract).
- Running the prediction competition, calculating points and showing leaderboards (contract).
- Sending match reminders/results and service messages (consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests).
- Contacting prize winners and eligible users for promotions (consent and/or contract, depending on the specific campaign).
- Security, fraud prevention and service integrity (legitimate interests).
- Legal compliance and responding to lawful requests (legal obligation).
Push notifications and marketing
Notifications are optional. If you grant notification permission, we may send match results, fixture alerts, prediction reminders and operational announcements.
Prize-contact and marketing preferences can be changed at any time in Profile. You can also disable OS-level notifications in your phone settings.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data.
We share data only where needed with:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud (processor) to host and operate the service.
- Other users, for limited public competition information (display name, rankings and points).
Prize and promotion handling:
- Metravyx Ltd contacts winners directly first.
- We only share winner contact details with Barnsley Football Club if you give explicit consent for that specific handover.
- If you do not consent, your data will not be shared with the club, but this may limit fulfilment options for some club-delivered prizes.
International transfers
Data may be processed outside the UK/EEA through our service providers. Where transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards (for example adequacy decisions and/or approved contractual transfer mechanisms, as applicable).
How long we keep data
We keep account and competition data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise personal data unless retention is required for legal, regulatory, anti-fraud or dispute-handling reasons.
Operational backups and logs are retained for limited periods and then overwritten or deleted according to provider retention cycles.
Your data protection rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request:
- Access to your personal data.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion of your data.
- Restriction of processing.
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Data portability.
- Withdrawal of consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
You also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator (for example the UK Information Commissioner's Office).

You can submit privacy requests through the Support section of the app. Account deletion is available directly from Profile.

Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
